Advisory Board

Brad is a PhD candidate at the The Johns Hopkins University, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in cell, molecular, developmental biology, and biophysics.

He has his Master’s in Health Sciences Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree in
computer science with a concentration
in web design. He served as Diversity Camp Inc.'s Treasurer of the Board of Directors and Webmaster from 2018 - 2022. He left the board to focus on his PhD program, continuing to support Diversity Camp Inc. as an advisor on treasury and web-design matters.

Assad has been a dedicated advocate for
the LGBTQ community for over ten years. He was secretary for the Virginia Western Community College Human Rights Club for three years and attended
the Clinton Global Initiative promoting Human rights in 2012. He has been a frequent volunteer for the Roanoke Diversity Center, Ladies and Gents of the Blue
Ridge Transgender Alliance, and other LGBTQ organizations for years as well. He has been a volunteer
and camp counselor for Diversity Camp
since 2014 and has been a pivotal
part in its success to this day.
